There are many wonderful places to visit in the area within 1 hours drive, including Lucca where open air concerts are held throught out the summer, Florence, Pisa and the spa town of Montecatini, with an 18 hole golf course. The stunning towns of Siena and San Gimignano are less than 2 hours away.
Abetone Ski Resort is only 60kms from Pescia and therefore an easy day trip.
Viareggio seaside resort is only 1 1/4 hours drive away and again an easy day trip.
