Santa Chiara

This beautiful property is set in a quiet rural valley among 2 ½ acres of mature terraced olive groves and landscaped gardens. It has magnificent views of the valley and surrounding hillsides and is an idyllic place for guests to unwind. This traditional Umbrian stone farmhouse has been carefully restored using original and antique materials wherever possible and converted into 3 luxury holiday apartments. Each apartment has its own independent entrance and private outdoor dining space. A BBQ area is also available for guest use.

On a secluded sun-trapped terrace is the 10 by 5 metre swimming pool which is designed to be child friendly with stepped entry and a shallow ledge around its perimeter. The area is fenced with access via a gate and has a large patio with sun loungers.  The whole property is also fenced and offers the additional security of remote control gated entry.

 

Pantano (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4/6)

This top floor apartment has been designed to cater for between 4 and 6 guests.
It has two large double bedrooms, one with twin beds. Both rooms are dual aspect with high ceilings and chestnut beams, both have solid wood floors.

There is a large family bathroom complete with shower and fabulous old marble sink.
The lounge to this apartment has exposed stone walls and a traditional archway through to a separate dining room. This gives a spacious and airy open plan feel to the living space. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge which can accommodate two additional guests and a further sofa and coffee table. There is also a TV with DVD player and satellite receiver, stereo and well stocked bookcase.

Leading from the lounge is a separate and fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, grill and hob.

However perhaps the most compelling feature of this apartment is the 40 sq metre split level terrace with far reaching views along the valley.

Rancale (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4/6)

Situated on the first floor this apartment has a wonderful private south facing terrace shaded from the sun by a pergola, its an ideal place to enjoy the unspoilt views of the valley while taking an "al fresco" meal. Steps lead to the first floor from the terrace. 

There are two large double bedrooms, one master suite with king sized bed and en-suite shower room, the other with twin beds and a further family bathroom with bathtub and separate shower cubicle. Throughout this apartment there are barrel vaulted ceilings and handmade terracotta floors. In each of the bedrooms and the lounge the windows have built-in mosquito nets.

The living space in "Rancale" is particulary spacious and light, benefiting from a south westerley aspect and a total of four large windows. It has a traditional brick archway connecting the comfortable lounge to the open plan kitchen/dining area. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a dishwasher, double sink, electric oven, four ring gas hob, microwave and large fridge freezer. The lounge provides two large sofas (one of which is a sofa bed), TV with DVD player and CD player. Throughout the apartment there are features walls in exposed stone giving it a traditional rustic feel.


 

Pietramelina (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2)

This apartment is ideal for a couple, or couple with a young child.

It has a large twin bedroom with exposed stone walls and terracotta floor.
Serving the bedroom is large an en-suite shower room.

There is a light and spacious lounge dining area with dual aspect windows. As well as the dining table with seating for two there is a comfortable sofa, wall mounted LCD TV with DVD, satellite receiver and a wood burning stove. This room also includes a fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, microwave, oven and 4 ring hob.

There are patio doors leading to a private terrace with outdoor dining table with seating for 4 and wonderful views of the olive groves and the valley beyond.
Pietramelina can be rented in conjunction with one of the other apartments to accommodate larger groups, in which case a discount will be applied.
